Ida Casaburi

was born in Marigliano, Italy. In the 1960's, she emigrated to Germany after marrying a German student. She then divorced and re-married. Her second husband encourged her to write fiction and short stories while discovering her unique narrative style.

Ida enjoys writing fiction that dazzles and diverts the reader. She loves to experiment with life's convoluted mysteries. This is the insight her novels relay to the reader.

Der Lockruf (2010) is a fantastic, kafkaesque story told in an elaborate psychologic manner. The theme of her second novel Das Hausmädchen mit dem Diamantohrring (2010) is equally entangled, however, the writing style differs from her first novel. This novel is refreshingly cheeky and the characters revel in their energetic back-and-forth dialogue.

The author lives in Fürth (Odenwald), Germany.
