Das Hausmädchen mit dem Diamantohrring

Sole Kotilge leaves her parents' home after a severe dispute and moves in with a friend. Her new home is a downgrade from five-star-hotel to youth hostel and she is demoted from fairytale princess to Cinderella!

With too little space, no car and juggling three jobs, she has no time to complete her final thesis. This changes when she reads the somewhat peculiar advertisement of Norman Braun:

Single academic seeks a simple, absolutely unimpressive housekeeper with a knowledge of vegetarian cooking. Good salary, own apartement, car.

Theoretically, this would be an ideal job, except that Sole is anything but simple and quite the opposite of unimpressive. She resembles the Hollywood starlet Scarlett Johansson and the famous portrait “The Girl With The Pearl Earring” by Jan Vermeer van Delft.

So there is only one thing to be done: The beautiful swan must transform into an ugly duckling. A confusing masquerade thus begins.
